By accessing, purchasing, or using products from MIC (micards.ca), including but not limited to engraved medical ID cards, keychain tags, and related products, you acknowledge and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
2. Customer-Provided Information
All information engraved on MIC products is submitted directly by the customer at the time of purchase.
This may include, but is not limited to:
- Name
- Phone numbers
- Emergency contacts (ICE)
- Medical conditions
- Allergies
- Medications
- Blood type
You acknowledge and agree that:
- You are fully responsible for the accuracy, completeness, and correctness of all information provided
- MIC does not verify, validate, or edit submitted information
- MIC is not responsible for any errors, omissions, or outdated information
- You confirm that you have reviewed all submitted information prior to purchase and accept full responsibility for any inaccuracies
3. Informational Use Only (No Medical Guarantee)
MIC products are intended for informational and identification purposes only.
MIC does not guarantee that:
- Emergency responders will notice, access, or rely on the product
- The product will be used in any emergency situation
- The product will prevent injury, complications, or death
MIC products are not a substitute for professional medical identification systems, devices, or emergency services.
No Reliance
You acknowledge that MIC products are not intended to be relied upon as a primary or sole source of medical or emergency information. Any reliance on the product is entirely at your own risk.
4. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, MIC disclaims all liability for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from or related to the use or inability to use its products.
MIC and micards.ca shall not be held liable for any damages, losses, or claims arising from:
- Incorrect, incomplete, or outdated customer-provided information
- Failure of third parties (including emergency responders) to access or use the product
- Misuse or improper use of the product
- Any medical emergencies, injuries, or outcomes
This includes, but is not limited to:
- Personal injury
- Medical complications
- Death
- Financial or consequential loss
You expressly acknowledge that MIC is not liable for any reliance placed on the information engraved on its products.
5. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless MIC, its owners, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, liabilities, or legal expenses arising from:
- Information you provided
- Your use or misuse of the product
- Any third-party claims related to the product
6. No Warranty
All products are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to:
- Accuracy of engraved information
- Fitness for a particular purpose
- Reliability in emergency situations
7. Customer Responsibility
You acknowledge that:
- You are responsible for properly carrying or displaying the product
- You must update your product if your information changes
- You should not rely solely on MIC products for medical or emergency protection
8. Order Accuracy & Final Approval
All products are engraved exactly as submitted by the customer.
By placing an order, you confirm that:
- All information is correct and reviewed
- You accept full responsibility for any errors submitted
MIC is not responsible for engraving errors resulting from customer input.
9. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada.
10. Changes to Terms
MIC reserves the right to update or modify these Terms at any time without prior notice. Continued use of the website constitutes acceptance of any changes.
